Today, Ana and I are exploring the fourth tale in Women Who Run with the Wolves: Manawee. In this fairytale, Manawee must discover the names of twins that he wishes to make his wives. He is helped in this by his dog who confronts many obstacles to bring Manawee the names of the twins.

I did not connect to Manawee all that much, he is hardly in the story really. I felt like the dog did all the work. I know the dog is a metaphor for Manawee’s own wild nature but it still fell a little flat for me. But the twins and their secret names? I like that a lot.

This also comes at a time when I am about to leave for Sydney where I will go support my sister who has undergone spinal surgery (again). For the next three weeks, I will be taking care of my nieces, 21 month old twins!

I am a little scared and very excited at the same time. I hope I can make it easier for my sister to recuperate and I am grateful for the possibility to bond with my nieces.

So for the next three weeks, I may not be blogging as much and just sharing on Instagram. Or things will go really well and I’ll have time for both! Who knows?

Make sure to look at Ana’s blog for her take on this theme.
