This is one of those projects that really speak to you. Then second you read about it, you drop everything to get to your supplies and get started. This was a tutorial by Divyam for the Season of Story on the Get Messy private blog. I had the most fun with this.
After writing out my story, I painted some watercolor paper using my favorite color scheme: pink, neon red, Payne’s Grey, white and mint. I got lost in these corners of the painting.
I randomly cut out 18 cards from the painted papers. This was a little stressful, but it was so worth it.
I worked quickly and intuitively, pulling out the theme of each card from the way the paint had danced on the page and keeping my story in mind.
How I love the result! These are still packed away but I cannot wait to pull them out to use them again.
