Hello all! As you may already know, I’m an Ambassador for 30 Days of Lists, a project I have been doing since 2012. I really love the quick and easy documenting that this project allows for…as well as the community of Listers and their wonderful creativity.
I usually bind my own notebooks to hold my lists and sell similar ones in my shop. But this year, we moved from Beijing to Shanghai. Our belongings were meant to arrive in August which would’ve given me enough time to prepare. But we were assigned a different appartment which won’t be ready until September so I don’t have any of my supplies with me until then.
Luckily, I found the Muji store here.
Muji is a Japanese home decoration store that makes you feel like you need a minimalist, paired down, fully ordered house! I love the simple aesthetic of that place. Lucky for me, they also have a sweet stationery section. In it, I found the three kraft covered notebooks you see in the photo above. I love the spiral bound albums as sketchbooks or maybe for specific projects.
For this round, I’ll be using this B6 sized notebook. It’s close to a Traveller’s Notebook size. The pages are nice and creamy but not thick enough for wet media…at least I don’t think so. So I started brainstorming what other supplies I could use to decorate my Lists. I took a look at what supplies I had left from my summer travel documenting (more on that next week) and found all my washi tape tags. I think I can make that work!
This will be a very different way of Listing for me as I usually use this project as a major stash buster. I love to add loads of embellishments and stuff. I am looking forward to seeing how I will approach this paired down version of my Lists.
So….ready for a giveaway? I have two spots in the September edition to giveaway. Your first chance is here, in the comments of this post. Let me know if you are a minimalist or a maximalist when it comes to your documenting projects. The other place you can participate is on my Instagram account.
Good luck, I will pick a winner on Friday August 24th at 8pm (Shanghai time)!
